TECH WERKS FOUNDER RECEIVES EMMY

Asheville, NC – September 5, 2009 – 2009 Best Outstanding Morning Show went to “Good Morning America” in this years 36th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards issued by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.  Mr. Bill Baker, founder of Tech Werks was honored as part of the production crew of ‘Good Morning America’.

For years, Mr. Baker’s technical production prowess has contributed in many differing capacities as he has worked as a Technical Director; Technical Manager; Operational Producer; and in other positions for many of the major International Broadcast Networks:  ABC, CBC, NBC, BBC, NHK, and the list goes on.  This is not the first time a program that Bill has worked on has won an Emmy; however, it is the first program where Bill has received an Emmy for Operational Producer.

In recent years, Bill has worked for ABC News on a number of different programs: 

•  Good Morning America
•  World News with Charles Gibson
•  20/20
•  and others 

A few of the ‘Good Morning America’ programs that Bill has worked on are:

• “7 Wonders of America”
• “LIVE from MTN Washington”
• “Light Up America for Christmas”
• “How Did They Build That?”
• “The Whistle Stop Tour” - Live from an Amtrak Train
